Project Overview
This exterior remodel in Breckenridge, Colorado was completed by Siding Denver to upgrade a home with outdated vinyl siding into a modern, fire-resilient mountain residence. The homeowners wanted an exterior that felt contemporary while still fitting naturally within the alpine character of the neighborhood. The project included a full siding remodel along with the installation of two new Pella windows to enhance both performance and curb appeal.
Scope of Work
Siding Denver removed the existing vinyl siding and replaced it with James Hardie primed lap siding and trim, paired with Hardie® fascia and soffit for long-term durability. A HardieWrap® weather barrier and foam insulation were installed to improve moisture protection and energy efficiency. To further enhance fire resistance, stacked stone was added at the garage, providing both protection and architectural depth.
Design & Installation Process
The design direction focused on a modern-contemporary look that complemented the surrounding mountain environment. Clean horizontal lines, minimal trim details, and a bold, dark color palette helped create a refined modern mountain aesthetic. The siding and trim were painted using Sherwin-Williams in Tricorn Black, delivering a timeless finish that stands up to Colorado’s harsh alpine climate. Careful attention was given to installation details to ensure long-term performance and durability.
Results & Impact
As shown in the before-and-after images below, this project resulted in a dramatic exterior transformation. The updated façade significantly improved curb appeal while also increasing the home’s fire resistance and overall protection. By incorporating fire-resistant materials and stonework, the homeowners took proactive steps to safeguard their property and help maintain insurance coverage. The final result is a visually striking, modern mountain home that blends seamlessly into the Breckenridge neighborhood while offering long-term peace of mind.
